Business Philosophy
We founded the Fish Man in 1997 to provide reliable, professional aquarium services for clients in the Fort Worth-Arlington area. We do business the old-fashioned way: with a handshake and services exceeding expectations. We love tropical fish and help our busy clients enjoy their aquariums. We treat each of our customers like family. Taking care of the client is just as important as taking care of the aquarium. In our view, these two things cannot be separated!Personal

Playing guitar, fishing with my son and daughter, computer games, writing, sports, and of course tropical fish!Employment Experience
1985-1996 The Aquarium Pet Center: Owner and ManagerI cut my teeth in the aquarium business when I started working for Mike McCurry in 1985. Working for Mike was an invaluable experience in learning how to operate a pet store. The Aquarium was one of the best full-line pet shops in the state of Texas. We had customers who would drive hundreds of miles to shop with us.
I worked in various areas of the store until 1992, when I became the owner. In a five-year period, the store grew tremendously. I decided to sell the store in 1996 and to return to college.1994-1995 Aqualife Inc.: Owner and Vice-President
It was quite interesting learning about the wholesale distribution of livestock. We sold fish to a five state area and set an all-time sales record in our first month of operation.
1997-Present The Fish Man Aquarium Service: Owner-Operator
I started The Fish Man Aquarium Service to pay the bills while I was in school. Little did I realize I would still be in the business 13 years and 2 college degree later!

Bachelor of Arts in English Minor in Writing, UT Arlington (2001)Academic awards include: Summa Cum Laude, 4.0 GPA, English Dept. Award for Academic Excellence, Alpha Chi Honor Society, Golden Key Honour Society, and Honor Scholar at President's Convocation for Academic Excellence.
